For the last 100 years, the Muskegon Museum of Art has provided West Michigan with a first-rate museum experience. Working with community volunteers and dedicated staff, they strive to foster a life-long study and appreciation of the visual arts by strengthening, preserving, and exhibiting fine collections. The Museum offers a wide range of traditional and contemporary exhibitions, helps simulate learning and creativity through diverse public and educational programming, and enhances community involvement and support in a safe, accessible, and welcoming environment.
The Museum’s permanent collection is the envy of many in the art world. The changing exhibition schedule is rich with opportunities for the community to experience art and artists from around the world, and their school outreach and tour program reaches over 5,000 area students annually. The “Inspire” campaign recently raised over $7 million, the largest campaign in Muskegon’s history, to invest in facilities, programs, and to build the Museum’s endowment.
